NOW OPEN: MANY A SLIP - INVITED ARTISTS JUGGLE WITH THE DOMESTIC SYMBOL OF 'THE CUP'

We have just opened our most ambitious group show to date in the form of Many a Slip, guest-curated by Marsden Woo Gallery artist and renowned British ceramicist Alison Britton.

Britton writes, 'the cup is an object of much interest to me though a thing I rarely make. I have been collecting cups from foreign cities and flea markets and china shops for 40 years. The cup is a fundamental thing, a basic prop of human culture and civilisation.'

We invited leading designers, artists and writers, reflecting the wide scope of our exhibition programme and interests, to take part in this project in the broadest possible sense and they have not disappointed! Visitors can look forward to an explosion of imaginative response from each of our gallery artists as well a diverse selection of over 77 participants including Glenn Adamson, Karen Bennicke, Quentin Blake, David Clarke, Sarah Campbell, Malene Hartmann Rasmussen, Rob Kesseler, Jock McFadyen, Maria Militsi and Richard Slee.

The show runs until 5 September and is a rare opportunity to encounter work by such a remarkable array of leading creatives in a single show. It is an event not to be missed!
